The Maritime Spinners Retreat is a magical weekend where fibre artists and yarn spinners gather to learn, relax, share and spin. Each year the retreat bounces back and forth between the 3 maritime provinces and take place mid-October. This year the retreat was held in Prince Edward Island, it is the third retreat I have attended and my first time participating as a vendor.
So many fiber goodies, dyed merino wool, art batts and tasters kits of mohair, silk and nylon sparkles!
Once my booth was all set up it was time for some spinning! I was so thankful to reunite with familiar faces and friends from past retreats. It has been ages since I have been able to sit down and just spin beautiful yarn so I treated my self to one of Rachel Ann MacGillivray's art batts (full of bright orange silk noil!)
This years retreat theme was carding so I hit the drum carders and made some art batts of my own!
It was so much fun and I can't wait to go back next year!
